We have a ‘O2 my Home M’ contract for our appartment in Berlin. For the last couple of weeks (read: 2 months), the internet speed is extremely low:Average between 2 and 4 mbps (see screenshot) This is when only 1 device is connected via cable to the router As soon as a second device is used (let’s say my partner uses his mobile phone to browse Instagram) nothing is being loaded Average according to the O2 website should be ‘Normale Download-/Upload-Geschwindigkeit 38/9 MBit/s’So with 1 device connected with cable to router, we get less then 10% of the average speed (3.5 mbps out of an average of 39 mbps if you want to do the math). Due to this, one of us always has to go to the office as it is impossible to both work from home. Called customer service 2 weeks ago, was told that apparently the Home M package was not activated yet and that it would be fixed by the 15th of August: not only would this imply that we were paying for a service we did not get (charging a customer for a service

Hello. I bought a router (Fritz box 7590) and I could successfully installed the router in my new flat. However, I can’t get access to internet even though I get the strong wifi from the router. It seems that there’s something wrong with the DSL line. I need someone to come to my flat and check what’s wrong with this. Please help me out with this.Regards

I’m using a o2 DSL connection. I moved to a new apartment and there o2 service is not available. I went to the o2 shop to terminate the contract, they said I have to cancel this by calling them via phone. I am not good in German language and find it really difficult to terminate the contract. Can someone suggest me a solution for this? A english hotline number will solve the issue in my opinion. edit o2_Manga: verschoben zu DSL Englisch

Hello, I am sorry for writing in english as my german is not good. I am also sorry if this question was asked before multiple times. I will be moving to different city within Germany in a month or so.  My current DSL contract expires in November 2021. In the new city, I still could not find an apartment. I would be staying in University Guest house. How could I cancel the contract ? I went to local O2 store, the guy said I need Abmeldung. Is it enough to send request letter of cancellation to O2 or I need to attach this abmeldung with the letter? In the end, How will I return the router ?Thanks,Anil.

Hi,I want to change from my O2 Loop Smart to O2 Prepaid M. I tried the “tarif wechseln” both through the app and “mein o2” but no alternative tarif shows up. I tried to do it through the “Tarifmanager” by dialing *107# but no options either. I tried sending “START o2myPrepaidM” to 5667 and nothing happened. I called the english o2 hotline and it’s only for postpaid customers. Please help.Thank you! o2_Steffen: Beitrag verschoben o2 Prepaid → English Mobile

The O2 representatives in O2 shop are not being honest and are providing wrong information They are impatient and try to sell everything that I don't want. I recently had a very bad experience and i unknowingly under pressure made some mistakes too.My wife’s number is attached to my contract and for some time now she has been getting random calls from stranger so we decided to cancel the contract ending this July, so 3 months prior to that in April during the pandemic I visited the O2 shop to get this number cancelled. I was told it be taken care off and I need not worry. But now I am surprised to see that its been extended for 1 more year. If right information was provided this situation would have not occurred.  Now I know that it has to be done in written form. Then on 22nd July I get email regarding a discount for iPhone 12, where O2 existing customers pay 30 Euros /month instead of 33 Euros. See link belowhttp://info.o2.de/r/r.aspx?A4UBsIbwuUfAPnZ2bvzApom0Mw2I went to the O2-shop t

Hello,my contract ends on 21.10.2021 and I want to cancel it but I can’t since it seems there is an issue with the previous month bill. The amount was withdrawn from my bank account but was put back on the same day so I tried to transfer it manually but it is still pending. I don’t want to be too late for canceling my contract that is why I am writing this. Also, I would like to ask about the way to cancel my direct debit and transfer the amount manually from now on.thanks in advance

HI,I have been facing an issue with my internet connection since yesterday (07/07/2021), it keeps getting disconnected every five minutes or so. I have run diagnostics and everything seems to be in perfect order. This is happening all of a sudden and I have had absolutely no problem with my internet connection in the past 11 months or so.Since I am working from home, this disruption of the internet is creating a few problems. I will be grateful if you could resolve this quickly. Best,Sreya.

I have been called 12 times in the past 3 days from the below numbers. All three are telemarketing firms representing O2. It’s an unacceptable business practice.I continue to block their numbers and they call again with a new number. O2, fix this for your customers.+49 176 88854878+49 8654 4079632933+49 8654 4079632821

Hi, I need to configure port forwarding on my LTE router and I’ve read that with O2 home spot I need a public IP address to do that. Can somebody help me please? edit o2_Tobias: transferred from “o2 HomeSpot” to our English Community

Hi, I wonder if you might be able to help me. I got a call from a number saying they were O2:+4917688854750 They were saying I should update my mobile tariff to O2 Free L or something, to avoid problems in the network and that it would cost me the same as now. Since I was a bit distracted, it somehow all sounded OK to me and they had me agree to it on the call. Right after the call I started really thinking about how it didn’t make too much sense and looked into that number and it saw several people complaining about the number. Is this a scam ? Do you know of similar things ? Is there a way to block any upgrades they might trigger ? Thank you!

Hi there, I have an o2 My Home XL cable internet contract, which promises speeds of up to 250mbps. But I’m not even getting 50mbps. There are also frequent disruptions in the internet service throughout the day. Is there any resolution for this?

O2 lied me about instalation date of DSL connection (technician simply did not show up) and now they need to call them and set new appointment. Is there any English customers service there? Or is it possible to arrange such appointment by e-mail?

I have a question for the O2 team. Is your Meine O2 app developed “ In House “ ( On site )Many none German speakers has problems with the language of the Meine O2 app. If your app is in house can I forward a request  for additional language options in the Meine O2 app.?I still believe to this day the way forward is to have language options across the all the O2 customer facing solutions. Examples:  Website, App, Telephone.I’m sure such options  would drive more customers to O2, Its a win solution for both parties. With Friendly Greetings.

Can O2 confirm the Vodafone GigaCube Cat19 (B818-263) FH White Works with O2 my Home M.Vodafone GigaCube   ASIN ‏Number ‎ B08GGDPJF8Manufacturer reference Number  ‏ : ‎ 9909014Many thanks.

First I want to say I have made the grand return to the English community forum  Now to something I was thinking about.I’m contracted  to O2 my home M.Part of the application process I failed to note I’m forced to rent the awful O2 HomespotSee my post under my previous community posts .O2 Home spot end of the roadI thought the German government was about to pass a new consumer  law to stop  the likes of O2 hardwiring the LTE router so that the customer an only use the provide device? As some of you may know O2 allows other routers but the list is very , very limited and restricted.( unless things have changed ? )My question is I’m I still forced the rent the O2 Homespot given  pending  law change? Why wont   you let me return the O2 Homespot. and provide me with the FRITZ LTE 6820 ? Or let me send back the O2 Homespot without money penalty.I am aware  some routers can’t be used because of the telephony  but I never use a phone. Its annoying O2 locks out the better Fritz LTE router 6850.
