There is no need to call o2. Because your contract/number is deactivated, your number is automatically released into freedom and your new provider can get it at any time. Please make sure that your o2 prepaid account has the necessary credit of 29.95 EUR (o2 porting fee).

I just got an email from Vodafone saying that the number has not been released. I have more than enough credit on my O2 number. So I’m guessing the port out has expired and needs to be done again.
Is anyone from O2 able to release my number and then please confirm?
Help would really be appreciated :)
If your o2 contract has ended, your mobile phone number is released automatically. You can port the number within 90 days. If you don’t port it within 90 days after the end of your contract, the number will be deleted.
If Vodafone asked for porting a number from an active o2 contract, but your o2 contract was not active anymore, it will get negative response. Make sure that vodafone asks for porting a number to the end of a contract/of an non-active contract.
Can anyone from o2 help me? It’s a prepaid number and I just need permission to port! I’m on o2 loop and it is the number on my account here :)

Is it concerning your number in your community-profile?
This number is already deactivated. Therefore, you just need to go to your new provider now in order to ask for the porting. We do not need to release your number anymore.
From the time of your deactivation you have 90 days in order to port your number to another provider. We will charge you with a porting-fee of 29,95 €.

I would also like to have my number released to port to another operator - they have contacted me and told me they lack opt-in from my side.
Can you tell me how can I port my both numbers - I don’t have an option my my o2 section to port the numbers.
