hi there, i am new in germany, moved here recently, struggling to understand how it all works, DSL here uses PPPoE but i can’t use my Ubiquiti hardware? are there specific routers/ modems only paired with the certain provider and are hardware blocked/ restricted? or is there another requirement of a modem or router to be able to login? will i not be able to use PPPoE login via my ubiquiti hardware?thanks for any help and shedding some light on my situation and frustration with O2 DSL.PS: i tried Fritzbox 7590, it works login successful. tried a TP-LINK Archer VR2100V, no go, unsuccessful.
Hello. I have a router with DSL connection which came before 3 days. When I connected to DSL socket it seems it works and my mobile phone is able to connect to the internet. But the problem that I do not have Internet connection. I do not use Internet data while the DSL light in router is open and stable. Should I need to something further or to activate something? thank youedit o2_Solveig 21.01.2025, 20:56 moved from DSL Kabel & Glasfaser → English o2 Community : Broadband & Landline
Good luck with that.I will tell you my story how I got lumbered with a 2 year contract at o2. I made an Internet contract when I moved, I was supposed to be connected on a specific date, guess what? I wasn't and I really needed Internet as I work from home. I called maybe 20 times, sent emails etc, they simply ignored my requests and emails afterwhich they told me it's too late to cancel even though I still didn't have Internet 2 weeks after the connection date... I managed to make a contract with a different provider which connected me quickly and been with them ever since. With O2, I couldn't do anything and had to pay for the contract for Internet that didn't even work for about a month... then when I cancelled the contract they were begging me to stay with them and asked me why would I want to cancel? Ahmmm maybe because you never connected me on the date you were supposed to connect me? Maybe because customer service was extremely bad? Maybe because I paid for 2 years for Internet
Hi team, I have been using the O2 my Home S LTE internet connection since almost 1 year out of the 2 year contract. My current rental apartment contract is ending soon. The new place where I am shifting already has a internet connection. (It’s in the same city)I want to check if I can terminate my LTE connection sooner. I tried to use the check availability function on the O2 website for LTE connection at the new place, however, it comes back with the result that the selected LTE connection is not available at the new place. It doesn’t make sense to carry the LTE connection to the new place when it is not available as well. Please help.
I have cancelled my O2 HomeSpot since last month, but I have not returned the HomeSpot device, since I don’t know to which address I should return it. I should not get a Rechnung for the Tarif, since I did not use said router or its services. Where should I return the device?Edit o2_Antje: Moved from o2 Home to English Community / 23.01.2025 / 19:50 Uhr
80333 home has internet connection problem. It has been more than an hour that my home wifi is on and off. Rebooted the router and still not working. I guess is the area connection problem. Anyone has the same issue? What can I do?
Hi,So, my internet was activated today. I tried connecting to the wifi & lan, but it says no internet access and when I was checking the event logs, found this logsLog in with internet service provider failed. {{some code here}} test userI removed a part with a placeholder {{some code}} for security reason as I wasn’t aware how critical it is.And when I was trying use another password in the account information I am getting bad username or password, but I am using the same to login to this account in O2. I never received any password from O2 to be used for account information rather I had to create while registering.I would really appreciate any support.Have a nice day!Edit o2_Daniela: moved from DSL, Kabel & Glaserfaser to English o2 Community, 16.01.2025 12:02 Uhr
I have had the O2 5g Homespot for a year, it is mainly working okay but would disconnect from the internet every 1-2 weeks (sometimes a few times a week), but the issue could be solved quickly by setting it back up on the app This is not ideal as I work from home alot, but as I cannot speak German It was a quick solutionIt disconnected again a few days ago and now will not reconnect at all-LTE/5G light does not show green-When prompted to take a picture of the password / put the router password in manually it says it is wrong, even thought I have never changed it I am not sure how to fix this problem

Hello, I moved abroad and before leaving I cancelled my contract over the website. They sent me an email saying that they would process my termination. I’s been two months, they haven’ttold me anything and I’m still paying. What do I have to do? Thanks
First of all, hello again. My girlfriend and I have been O2 customers for over a year. However, due to the mistake of the O2 store employee, my internet is registered in her name and her internet is registered in my name (home internet). My first question is that we were paying 20 euros for my girlfriend's internet and it suddenly became 40 euros. Why was this increase made even though the promised internet speed was not available at her home? Also, although I canceled my home internet about 10 months ago and sent the router I used to O2, I am still paying the bill. I moved to a dormitory and I cannot bring O2 here because there is already an internet infrastructure here? I want my payments back for 10 months.Edit o2_Bianca 20.01.25 12:56Uhr: Moved from o2 Home Vertrag&Tarife to English o2 Community Broadband&Landline
Hi! I have cable internet (Tarif Home L) and my connection so unstable that it’s almost unusable for online gaming as I get massive lags and jitters. I ran multiple tests with WinMTR and PingPlotter and it seams that there’s packet loss on Telefonica’s Servers. See screenshots below (I covered part of ip addresses).I don’t have this problem when I use VPN service and my connection goes with different route. Also my upload speed is unstable too and can be pretty slow. I contacted support team and they created issue, but I can’t get any updates on it.Can something be done about that? May be some kind of Route Adjustment?
Hello O2 Team, I am using DSL 250 connection at home. I am doing home office 90% and without internet I can not work. From last 3-4 days I am really seeing big problems in connection. WIFI is getting disconnected suddenly which cause lot of problem during conference meetings with team and affecting daily work. Is there any specific global problem with O2 service provider.I would really appreciate an answer from an O2 technical team.Edit o2_Daniela: moved from DSL, Kabel & Glasfaser to English o2 Community 17.01.2025 12:37 Uhr
I got a new internet connection at home through cable. But at least a couple of days a week the internet does not work. I have to switch the router on and off. Sometimes the trick works but now I still don’t have internet after 3 days. This is not acceptable as I work from home very often. Hello,I am moving to another apartment which already has contract with O2 dsl. What can I do? Can i cancel one of the contract without a huge payment?Thank youEdit o2_Bianca 10.01.25 09:48Uhr: Moved from o2 Home Vertrag&Tarife to English o2 Commmunity Broadband&Landline
Hello and good day! I just want to ask. I ordered 250 L DSL from O2 and upon filling everything up, with the last step (where you enter your email and password), there was an error occurred and Page was actually not working. tried it multiple times but still the same. After that the next day i tried to visit the same url but the page is not available anymore. Ended up making an account for forums/community only (with the same email). FritzBox was already delivered, as well as the Welcome letter. The problem is that I keep on receiving email that I need to confirm my account for SEPA direct debit mandate. whereas upon clicking the button “confirm now” it redirects me to the community/forum page instead. How can I retrieve my account? for me to be able to check the status of everything especially payment options and etc..Edit o2_Antje: Moved from DSL to English Community / 05.01.2025
I just had the MAC address associated with my contract changed over the phone. The LED indicators on my new FritzBox are stable. Nonetheless, I still cannot connect to the internet. I understand the change would take a few hours but it’s been a few hours and I have restarted my router a few times already too. And yet I still cannot connect to the internet. How long does this usually take? Is there any way I can check in on the status of this online?Additionally, are there any other steps I should take after I’ve asked them to change my MAC address?
Hello, I contracted O2 for my home on november 29th, my internet is activated and I still did not receive my router. Everytime I contact the English hotline they give me different information, people hang up the phone, terrible service. Last time someone said that there was a mistake and that they would ship the router ASAP. It’s been 4 days and I still don’t have a tracking number. I need urgent help. thanksEdit o2_Kathi 27.12.24 Moved from the section DSL, Kabel & Glasfaser to English o2 Community: Broadband & Landline
