Hi! I have cable internet (Tarif Home L) and my connection so unstable that it’s almost unusable for online gaming as I get massive lags and jitters.

I ran multiple tests with WinMTR and PingPlotter and it seams that there’s packet loss on Telefonica’s Servers. See screenshots below (I covered part of ip addresses).

I don’t have this problem when I use VPN service and my connection goes with different route. Also my upload speed is unstable too and can be pretty slow.

I contacted support team and they created issue, but I can’t get any updates on it.

Can something be done about that? May be some kind of Route Adjustment?

and there’s PingPlotter screenshot

And here’s ping trace, where’s 13% packet lost and max timing is 207 ms.

Hello @suhoyserge,

and welcome to the community. Nice of you to get in touch 😊
Not so nice that your post slipped through, I apologise for that.
It's understandable that you're annoyed by unstable connections.
Thank you for all the testing you've done, it gives us a good impression. However, the best way to get this sorted out is via our tech department.

If the problem persists today, you can submit a ticket to our hotline. The hotline colleagues may then carry out a few tests with you, which unfortunately I cannot do here.

kind regards,
Marie

Hi @o2_Marie, thanks for the information!

I did additional testing and get to the conclusion that the main problem is jitter / high ping which appears at evenings (Ping can go from 15 ms up to 400+ ms). So my guess it’s interference problem because I also have many correctable errors in the statistics of my coax connection. I contacted support team about that and now I am waiting for the resolution.

Hello @suhoyserge,

It's great that you have already contacted the support team. I hope they can solve your issue. Please let us know and report back. 😊

Kind regards, Lea

@o2_Lea  @o2_Marie Well I had another appointment with technical team, they changed something but it didn’t help.

Now I thinks it’s not an interference problem, but a DS-Lite problem. I read it can cause jitter. I asked a support team to enable Dual Stack for me but they refused to do it.

Hi @suhoyserge

Sorry for the late response, your post slipped through. If you are still experiencing problems, please call the hotline so that our technical colleagues can check your connection again. Important note:

DualStack cannot be activated or enabled, all our cable connections use DSLite.

Kind regards Matze
