Can I use a self‑owned FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro with my o2 DSL connection?

Hi,

I’m planning to use my own FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro instead of the standard o2 router.

Does the 5690 Pro work on o2 DSL (VDSL/Supervectoring)?

I already have my o2 DSL username/password.

Are there any special settings required (VLAN ID, DSL profile, etc.)?

Thanks in advance!

Of course you can use your own router for your connection!

Normally you can choose “O2” as your internet service provider. Afterwards you must enter your username and password and the connection should be established.

Hello @rohit.lokhande,

welcome to our o2 Community 😀

Yes, as 5G_Tester writes, you can use your own router with the o2 DSL connection.

You can find instructions here that apply to all common FritzBox models:

https://fritz.com/apps/knowledge-base/fritz-box-5690-pro/314_FRITZ-Box-am-o2-DSL-Anschluss-einrichten

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Best regards

Giulia

Hey @rohit.lokhande ,

I just wanted to check whether everything worked out with your router :) or is the DSL connection not active yet?

Do let us know how it’s going once everything’s sorted 🌼

Kind regards, Rebecca
