Hello @Faki ,
welcome to the o2 Community .
Where did this happen to you, in a o2 Shop or did you call the hotline? Could you maybe explain what exactly you did want and then what happened. We’ll need a few more infos, to be able to help you with this.
Kind regards, Sven
I needed a single sim of 120 gb I went to o2 shop on shonhauser Alle 114 Berlin am student here and it was my first time to buy any sim here and we are supposed to trust this kind of worthy company and their sales man but this kind kind Of blatant scam has shocked me he gave me two sims one was attacked to contract other one he put on my phone on asking about other one he said it’s free and he never mentioned that I have to pay 19 euros for that and it’s only 3 gb sim how can someone with sane mind accept that offer 19 euros for 3 gb when my original demanded sim was of 120 gb for 22 euros now am paying 22 euros for my 120 gb that am using and other 19 for 3gb that I can’t use as I have only one phone and 120 is enough for me in first month I used it as my package was only 20 gb that time . Now help me in this regard otherwise I will be protesting in front of that shop and will definitely launch a peaceful campaign against this scam as it’s been also done to others . I will sit idle and let others be scammed in same fashion I will surely be launching a social media and physical campaign specially in my community.thanks
Was the second SIM shown as being free in the contract you signed?
No it was not free Contract was in German I didn’t understand German I told him that . I understand that legally you guys done no wrong but morally they cheated and gave something I didn’t want and not demanded . And took advantage to fact that am new and didn’t know German well am student and new here
Then my suggestion would be to send a letter to o2 explaining your situation and that you were misled by the salesperson in the shop regarding the second SIM.
Did you speak to the shop after you realised you would have to pay for the second SIM as well? Maybe they will cancel it for you.
Dear @Faki ,
when I look at your record, I see that you have a contract with us as a self-employed person and not as a student.
The o2 Free L normally costs 44.99 euros per month. You got it as a partner contract with a 50% discount. The initial contract is the o2 Free S for 19.99 euros. If the first contract were to be deactivated, you would have to pay the full price again for the big contract.
Shop contracts do not have a cancellation period. However, you can go to the shop in question and explain that they gave you wrong advice and that you only wanted one contract and ask them to cancel the other contract. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to touch shop contracts here.
The retailer probably tried to enter discounts, but they don't apply to self-employed people or to the o2 Free S. I would therefore advise you to visit the dealer again to clarify this.
There is also the possibility of creating a merchant complaint if you want to.
Kind regards,
Andrea
Same has happened with me.. store guy gave me 2 sim cards saying its free and you will have to take it.
Please let me know hot to cancel these cards?
Hi @raj2022 ,
have you also checked your documents handed out by the shop in order to check for how many contracts you’ve signed? I’d recommend contacting the shop after checking your documents, see if they can check on the contracts and what they say about the unwanted contracts. Please feel free to keep us in the loop here; If any new questions come come up or if further information is needed, please let us know.
Best regards,
Kurt
Good day, seems I also have the same experience. they give me 2 simcards. and they told us that the second sim is free as well. and now i paid for more than the usual charge for a month.
What did it say in the contract(s) you signed?

Hello @Sam656,
we have already written in your other post:
Best regards

Same issue here, ordered Samsung S23 with no subscription because we already have 2 simcards with 120gb data each, then the salesperson said you can get 2 data cards 3gb each for the price of one, 4,99 euro cash instead, I said no thanks we already have enough, then he said I have to take them because it is a combi promotion with S23, this was on a Friday, we received an email from O2 congratulating us with the purchase, the mail said the data cards cost 9.99 Euro each and connection cost 49,99 each , totally bewildered I went back on Tuesday, where I met the same salesperson, he checked and saw that the phone was not ordered at all , only the 2 data cards were ordered, he reordered the phone and insured me i don’t have to pay the 100 Euro connection cost and that the 9.99 will show as 4.99 in the next bill, it never changed ofcourse, I called the hotline for my in the O2 together with an O2 saleswoman and the Hotline lady said it is ok now she removed both data cards, after a week still no change, I callled customer support and they checked and said there is no entry at all of any cancellation! I am now forced to pay until may 2025 480 Euro + 100 Euro connection cost for a product I have no intend of using, incredible!!
@Tbisla20 Why did you not order the phone on the o2 Webside?
Hello @Tbisla20, welcome at our community. Nice to have you here.
I can understand your annoyance. Of course, it is not okay that you were given wrong advice in one of our shops. But you have signed a contract and thus confirmed it.
When were you in the shop? You may still be able to revoke the contract.
Did you already got the phone?
Kind regards, Ines.
Hello Ines,
That is the thing, I never signed any contract for the data cards only for the phone, the phone is with no plan, because I never got the combi promotion that would reduce the 9.99 to 4.99,Euro per month, the young woman who Assistent me first time never ordered the phone only 2 data cards for which I never signed, when I came back the second time to complain about the mail I got for the data cards for 9,99 each and 49.99 each for connection cost, the sales man discovered the phone was never ordered, he then reordered the phone with no datacards.
Hey @Tbisla20,
Did he tell you whether he has now also cancelled the DataCards? Do you have any further information on this?
Greetings,
Flo
