I want to try Huawei B528s-23a (Vodafone Gigacube) to use a O2 HomeSpot router. Device shows connection to the LTE network, but internet does not work. What are the instructions to configure the device to allow mobile internet?

Hi @fossil78

I understand your worries concerning IMEI fencing.

All threats that are written in English are transferred to our English community.

But I just checked your situation at your contact address. At the moment our technicians work at every base-station in your area. Please have a look here: http://g.o2.de/livecheck

Please have some days more patience. I hope that at the end of next week, your LTE-connection for your homespot will be much better.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi, my homespot seems to be definitely limited to 50. Never ever exceeded this speed, though all mobiles around reach 150 whilst being loged in the same station. This is NOT ok, as contract assures up to 200 where possible. And it definitely IS possible at my location. So sad, bad customer experience & no recommendation!

50 Mbit/s is good for the available network..

Hi @fossil78 ,

50 MBit/s is totally fine, as @Tom_ also confirmed.

When you ordered the tariff “o2 my Data Spot Unlimited” you received the following information: Download bis zu 225 Mbit/s, im Durchschnitt 40 MBit/s; Upload bis zu 50 MBit/s, im Durchschnitt 19,6 MBit/s

So, everything which is over 40 MBit/s is good.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi,

so why is then not going up to around 200 MBit/s as this technically possible (tested and proofed with mobile phone)?

KR, Sebastian

Hi @fossil78

thanks for your request.

Your homespot works with the frequency LTE band 3, 7 und 20.

Therefore, this might be different from another mobile phone tariff as the homespot is not using the frequency band 1 for example.

This is the reason why you cannot compare LTE with homespot with LTE with any other mobile phone tariff.

I hope I could be helpful with this information.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
