öffentliche IPv4 Andresse  (public IPv4 address ) for  "o2 HomeSpot"

Public IP freischalten, (Unlock public IP )
Critical information: First you need to post here in the community or contact O2 customer service directly to set up your öffentliche IPv4 Andresse (public IPv4 address)
There is a one-off payment for your public IPv4 address.
Next you need to make a small change in your router settings.

How to make the changed on the HomeSpot Router
Change the APN from “internet” to “netpublic”.

You´ll find this option in the menu:
First, you go to the "Connectivity" tab in the router settings.
In the next tab, you then select "Mobile Settings".
There you will find a point called "APN Settings". This is set to "Auto" by default. You now set this to "Manual”.
The first line already says the name "internet”, you change it to the name "NETPUBLIC"
You can theoretically leave the remaining fields such as username & password blank and leave IP type on "IPv4 & IPv6" and confirm at the end.

@o2_Tobias  Could you activate the IPv4-address for my tariff in the next billing cycle ?

I accept the one off costs .

If you require a customer pin.

I’m still awaiting my replacement customer PIN. I'll be unable to provide you with the customer pin at this time of posting.

I can validate using other methods

Greetings ukguy

Hi @ukguy

sorry for the delay.

According to your wish, I just activated the public IPv4-address for you. You will see the charge of 49,99 € in your next invoice.

Did the letter with the personal identification-code not arrive at your contact-address? Strange, it was sent out on 17th March.

I will order the delivery by letter once more.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi @ukguy ,

thanks for the link.

There is now an answer waiting for you there:

Best regards,

Kurt

Hi colleagues I need also the public ip address to access my home network through my vpn and othes personal servers.

I tried to configure the port forwarding before a travel and tried to access my fritz router outside my private lan but I got the following warning (see below)

I agree on the einmal 49eur tax as well.

I just need to know if is possible to set up everything (e.g. using myfritz account url) even remotely without the contents off the physical letter (because I am in a travel during 3 weeks and cannot access my mailbox meanwhile, but would be very useful to access my home network and services since now even before back to home).

Else I kindly request to receive the letter content or any other needed confuguration by email.

And Sorry Ich spreche nur ein bissen Deutsch. (Aber Ich werde lerne :)

Vielen Danke and please see below the warning that I got

Warning:
Your FRITZ!Box has registered with a non-public IPv4 address in the MyFRITZ! system. This address cannot be accessed from the internet. The redirection to your FRITZ!Box will probably fail.

This message may have the following possible causes:

  • Your FRITZ!Box is not connected directly with your internet connection but is used behind another NAT router. MyFRITZ! can be used only if your FRITZ!Box is connected directly with the internet.
  • Your internet service provider did not assign a public IPv4 address to your FRITZ!Box. This is possible at internet connections used with the dual-stack lite protocol. Consult your internet service provider to find out how to enable IPv4 connections at your internet account or connect your FRITZ!Box using IPv6.

Hi @FernandoCapeletto

welcome to our English Community.

Thanks for your message concerning your wish for a public IPv4-address.

Are you referring here to one of your mobile phone-contracts, or is your wish concerning your DSL-contract?

If you like to activate a public IPv4-address for one of your mobile phone-contracts, please let me know the last 3 numbers of your mobile phone number. We will charge you then with an activation-fee of 49,99 €.

Thanks a lot.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi, where can I change the name of internet to NETPUBLIC? There is no choices

Thanks in advance

Hi @Maz69

welcome to our English Community. Nice to meet you here.

In order to give you the correct information, please let me know which router do you use?

I suppose that you already ordered a public IPv4-address, right?

I look forward to your reply.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi,

I use Tp Link Archer MR600 Router, and I have already orderd a public port .

When isn't active yet, I would kindly ask you to activate it .

Best regards

M.Zino

Hi @Maz69

thanks for your quick reply.

You are already on the right page.

As “PDP Type” choose “IPv4”

In the section “APN” you write “netpublic

Do not choose any username or password.

And the “Authentification Type” should be “PAP”.

If you have any further questions, just feel free to come back to our English Community. I am sure that @Joe Doe can give you further suggestions.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hello, then I think it's right so!

When I try to make a port forwarding don't accept it.

Could you please check my IPv4 if is it public or not,  and if not to activate it and I am ready to pay the 49.99€ .

Thx a lot

Hello, then I think it's right so!

Hi @Maz69

I confirm that the public IPv4-address is activated for you.

But I think that you need to write under “APN Type” the word “netpublic”.

Can you please try this?

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi,

I just tried it. There is no choices to write anything,  only static or dynamic

Hi @Maz69

okay, can you please try to switch on “NAT”? I guess that you are then able to write “netpublic” under “APN”

Maybe @schluej, @Tom_ @Joe Doe have still a hint?

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Good morning, l did it, but the connection felt down . When I choose ISP e plus again the connection comes back but without data transfer

@Maz69 How looks your created new profile? Only in static you can write the apn name.

Thank you @Joe Doe

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi @Maz69

did you already test the suggestions of Joe Doe?

Loving greetings,

Tobias
