Cancel prepaid card but port number to a new carrier

Hello, I hope everyone is well. 

I would like to change my carrier service but still keep my number from O2. 

However, when I tried to port it, the new carrier service wrote back I need to 'discuss' with O2. What paperwork do I need and what am I supposed to do? Is it possible to email the documents? How long would the transition be?

Hi @Lizzy Lee ,

 

what’s probably missing is the “opt-In” for the export, the allowance so to speak.

You can set the opt-in in your “Mein o2”-App: Tarif & Optionen -> Rufnummernmitnahme –> Rufnummer jetzt freigeben

You can then request the import of your number again shortly after setting up the opt-in :hugging: You’ll get notified via Mail and / or SMS, once the date for the number tranfser has been set.

Thank you for the reply. I managed to get that sorted. 

However, I still have some credit left in my O2 account. How do I transfer or refund it?

the form has to be sent by letter to the adress in the upper right corner.
