Hello, I hope everyone is well.
I would like to change my carrier service but still keep my number from O2.
However, when I tried to port it, the new carrier service wrote back I need to 'discuss' with O2. What paperwork do I need and what am I supposed to do? Is it possible to email the documents? How long would the transition be?

what’s probably missing is the “opt-In” for the export, the allowance so to speak.
You can set the opt-in in your “Mein o2”-App: Tarif & Optionen -> Rufnummernmitnahme –> Rufnummer jetzt freigeben
You can then request the import of your number again shortly after setting up the opt-in 
You’ll get notified via Mail and / or SMS, once the date for the number tranfser has been set.
