How can I terminate my DSL contract before it automatically renewed for another 12 months?

Hello,

 

I am leaving Germany in November, I’ve been a customer with O2 DSL for 3 years now.

My contract will be be automatically renewed for another 12 months next October (end of the current 12th month contract). How can I terminate my contract so that it won’t be automatically renewed?

Also is it possible to renew it only for 1 month instead of 12 months? so I could terminate it in November (when I leave Germany).

You mean this October? The contract will already have been extended. To terminate the contract early, you will need to send a termination request to o2 with a copy of the deregistration document from the German authorities and evidence that you are permanently resident in another country. You will then be charged 3 months' line rental and the contract will be terminated.

Yep, this October.

Oh! so the contract is already belonged for another 12 months (Until October 2022). Ok I will send a termination request and a copy of the de-registration document once I get it. For “evidence that you are permanently resident in another country”, I am not sure if I can provide that soon, it may take longer.

Can you please share with me the address of O2 in Berlin where I can send those papers?

Also I would like return the router, can you also please guide me how can I return the router?
