Good morning, 

I just landed in Brazil and after turning on my phone and deactivating the "plane mode" I got plenty of messages from whatsapp and instagram. 

5 minutes later I get an SMS telling me that I will be charged for every MB used and that the price is 1.49€ per MB. In 5 mins, 30MB were consumed.

I refuse to pay such an amount of money, especially when I had no chance to deactivate the roaming from my phone (the service started running automatically). Would you mind helping me with this, as I learned how it works and this situation should not repeat again? 

You can verify that I have never used roaming outside the EU before and that the SMS with the information regarding the costs were sent after I received the messages from the apps.
