I just started using a new 02 simcard with (Iphone contract) but for some unknown reasons I can’t send SMS or text messages to any number. 

 

Please what can I do? This is very fustrating in this difficult times

Does this only affect SMS reception or is it also not possible to send SMS messages? Is it specifically about SMS for legitimization? Do you receive other SMS?

Thanks for the reply.

The issue is with only 3rd party messages like OTP for password reset, Bank, other institutions.. etc.

The messaging works to other personal numbers, I am having this issue after migrated to new iPhone from Android since few weeks. This is really critical now with legitimation SMS and How to resolve this issue.?

we will create a ticket for this. Then the specialized department will take a look at the whole thing. Could you tell us when you last noticed the restriction in SMS reception? If possible, please include the date and time :)

Thanks for the reply, I just tried now (13/3/2024; 19:32) as well by resetting the password of a social media account, but no success in receiving the OTP.

The restrictions apply to the phone number with which you are registered here in the community, right? Or is it about the other number?

Yes, it is not the same number registered here, the number is 015xxxxxx478 (not providing full number here- as moderators asked previously to remove the number from my first comment here). Would you be able to see the numbers from my account in O2.?

it is sufficient if you tell us the last 3 digits of the corresponding number :)

Another thought comes to my mind: Since you've noticed the restrictions since changing your mobile phone, have you checked the settings? Are messages from unknown numbers possibly blocked there? 

When exactly did you change your device?

Hi Cora,

The new device (iPhone) is used from mid of Jan-2024. I did a quick check on message blocking and didn’t find any.. don’t know if I missed to check any other settings. Would be great if you could direct me what and all I need to check in iPhone 15.

since you have an IPhone you should be able to filter messages from unknown numbers there: 

Settings -> Messages -> Filter unknown senders

Is this function activated on your device? If so, the SMS will be sorted into a separate list.

This function is not activated in my device. Any other settings needs to be checked.? Also, Could you please check it from service provider end as well.

The restrictions also apply when receiving online banking TAN´s, right? Could you please give me a current attempt (not older than 4 days) with date and time as an example for the ticket. Then the specialized department can take a closer look at it :)
