I have an O2 sim and I am currently a prepaid customer.
A couple days back I got an iPhone 13 mini from O2 without any tariff.
I’m really having trouble navigating through their website and understanding what’s going on and also I think their prices are too steep.
Anyway, I was wondering if I could port my number to another provider while still be paying for the phone for the remainder of the period?

Hardware (i.e. smartphones and other devices) always have their own contracts that are independent of contracts. Therefore, you can of course have your prepaid number (which does not include a contract with a fixed term) ported to another provider at any time.

If you haven’t done so already, please register your contract here: Bei o2 Registrieren und Vorteile nutzen: Jetzt anmelden (o2online.de). Select "MyHandy-Kunde" and enter your contract number, chose a username and a password. You’ll find your contract number on your My Handy invoice, which is also your installment plan.

Thanks for the information. I don’t seem to find my contract number anywhere. It’s not present on the invoice that was sent by O2 either.

the “Vertragsnummer” (contract number) should be found on top of your invoice that you have received separately by letter. It usually is a 10 digit number and printed in bold letters.
