Should be possible with the o2 app or in Mein O2.

Hi @Dee171 and welcome to our Community!

You can quickly release your number by yourself, as schluej has pointed out before 😊 To do this you need to access Mein o2 via browser or the Mein o2 app, navigate to Tarif & SIM-Karte Vertrag verwalten o2 Rufnummer zu einem anderen Anbieter mitnehmen and you’re good to go.

You can find more information about porting your number in this FAQ article 😄

Let us know wether the release/porting of your phone number went smoothly.

Best wishes,
Rebecca

Same question. I have a prepaid o2 SIM card and want to move from o2 to another provider. I have no idea how to do that. @o2_Rebecca your suggestion is only for contract holders.

Hi @Dee171 and hello @koyta ,

I see, since you two have prepaid SIM cards my tips won’t be of much use to you 😅

If you still have a positive balance on your SIM cards i suggest you use the Prepaid Credit Payback form to have the balance transferred to your bank accounts and simultaniously have your numbers freed for porting.

If that’s not necessary you can either contact customer support for quick and easy release of your numbers or let me know again here in the forums. I will then send you a private message and ask for verification so i am allowed to free your numbers. 😊

Best wishes,
Rebecca

@o2_Rebecca thanks for the reply! yes, it’s not necessary for me. Can we start the process of releasing my number?

Hey @koyta,

I have sent you a direct message from the user @o2_Support. Please check your inbox. After you’ve replied there i will set things in motion 🙂 you will then recieve a confirmation by e-mail and text message (SMS) about the release of your number (Rufnummernfreigabe).

Best wishes,
Rebecca

Thank you so much! @o2_Rebecca
My case is closed.

Hello @koyta,

Thank you for the nice chat 😊 the number has been released.

If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Best wishes,
Rebecca

Dear @koyta ,

welcome in our community. 🍀

Please do not post your request more than once here in the o2 community, this prolongs the waiting time for answers. Please also take a look at our netiquette.

I will now merge your contributions.

Kind regards,

Andrea

@o2_Andrea this is an old thread. You (O2) have no FAQ on this topic for prepaid users. Don’t talk to me like this please.

UPD: Okay. She is deleted the comment.

Hello @Natraj ,
thanks for your request regarding porting a number.
Have you already find a solution or can we still assist you?
Do you have a post or prepaidcantract?

greetings
Michael

Mine is prepaid.

Benutzerebene 7

Dear @Natraj ,

you can use the my o2 App to release the phone number for porting.

menue → Tarif & Optionen → Rufnummermitnahme → Button Rufnummer jetzt freigeben (at the bottom)

If you still have credit on your SIM-card you can have this paid-out by this form (it is only available in german): Prepaid Guthabenauszahlung

Does this help?

Kind regards,

Andrea
