I had a o2 contract (data L - 60GB) for 2 years: May 2019 - April 2021.
I want to take a new contract now (unlimited data) for 2 years: July 2021 - June 2023.
I lost my old sim card, but my account is still active (90 days not yet over).
Can I take a new contract with a new sim card but retain the old o2 number ?

No, but you could port your old number to a different provider (prepaid) and then port it back to o2.

Well in that case I will just switch to a contract with Vodafone / 1and1 and port the number.
