New contract activation - Wrong confirmation


Hi, I,ve just activated online a new contract o2 my Home M Flex with router o2 HomeSpot 2 LTE, but in the email confirmation the one-time fee and the monthly payment for the router are not mentioned at all:

69.99 + 29.99 monthly

instead of 

69.99 + 49.99 + 9.99 (shipping) + 29.99 + 5.99 monthly

Am I gonna receive it as well or did it went lost in the process? (I could see it included till the last confirmation page).

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

If no Router was mentioned in the documents you received then you probably did not order a HomeSpot 2. Did you receive a unit or simply the simcard for the contract?

I haven't received anything yet.

In the meantime I canceled the contract because the customer support told me there was an error in the system.

Then I called again, made another contract and received again the same email with no router mentioned, this operator saying it was supposed to be like this.

Now I have no idea what I will receive and if I have to cancel the contract again, because everyone is telling me different things.

Question is: Do you even need a router? If you want to use the simcard / contract only for the internet without the telephone option you can use more or less any lte router you want to. Only if your want to use the fixedline number which comes with the simcard you have to use our o2 Homespot router, its the only one which supports VoLTE (which you need if you want to make or receive phone calls via the fixed line number)

Yes, I want your router, that’s why I’m trying to make a contract with it but then I receive confirmation emails where it’s not mentioned.

I checked the last order that you have placed with o2 from the 22nd. I do not see a Router being ordered here, just the contract and the simcard that belongs to it. We can add an order for the HomeSpot 2 if you’d like, have you already received the simcard at this point?

Thanks, I imagined that (although the order was placed by the customer support this time).

In the meantime I bought a router because I need to have access to Internet as soon as possible.

Haven’t receive the sim yet, if it hasn’t been shipped, could I cancel and buy it directly in store?

o2 Stores generally do not have any routers in storage that they could give out to you directly, so you’d still have to wait for shipping.

I understood the router is not gonna happen anyway..

How long will it take to be shipped? Did the order last Friday.

So you can confirm me no router will be shipped and I can start using my own, right?

Also trying to activate the Sim card online, I’m getting this error:

if you had ordered a router directly alongside the contract then you’d have received it together with the simcard. The sim itself is being shown as already activated on our end, I assume you managed to contact someone from o2 or it was just a momentary issue with the online activation. Is everything working on your end now?
