How to return Fritz Box router

Hi, I have terminated my home XL contract by the end of February, may I ask whether I would receive any documents regarding the termination, and how could I return the router?

thanks in advance!

Hello @yadot_ ,

Please excuse the confusion caused by my post with the post. Of course you can use your router until the contract is deactivated.
It's just best to send the router to us directly afterwards.
As soon as we have received it, you will receive a written confirmation.

Best regards,
Maria

You can see the date of termination on your next invoice, page 2.

For router return see:

Hello @yadot_ ,

Please excuse the waiting time.
Have you already sent your router back to us via the returns portal, as advised by blablup?

Best regards,
Maria

Hello @yadot_ ,

Thank you for your feedback.
It's good that you still have a little time. However, I would advise you to send the router back to us as soon as possible.
Sometimes the postal service takes a little longer. 😉

Best regards,
Maria

Hi @o2_Maria,

Thanks for your reminder. Would you know how long it usually takes? Would two weeks be enough for sending from Germany?

Would two weeks be enough for sending from Germany?

What do you mean? YOU should send the router back, nothing will be sent to you.
Since you mentioned ‘Germany’: The return label from the o2 return portal is only valid for DHL within Germany. If you are not in Germany: The return label cannot be used for shipping from abroad.

According to the o2 terms and conditions, the router must be returned at the end of the contract. To avoid being charged for compensation, you should also comply with this contractual clause.

Hello @yadot_

I completely agree with blablup's question. What do you mean exactly?
We have asked you to return your o2 router to us via our returns portal.
As blablup has already written, the label is only available for DHL within Germany.
Please also note the reference to our terms and conditions to avoid further costs.

Best regards,
Maria

Hi @blablup @o2_Maria,

Please pardon me for any confusion. I understand that I need to return the router, but Maria mentioned that the postal service could take longer. Since my contract will end at the end of February and I still need to use the router now, I was wondering—if I send it next week, would it normally arrive at O2 by 09.03.2025, as I was notified?

Of course, you can use the router included in the contract until the last day of the contract period. After that, however, you should return it without delay. This is less about the parcel delivery time and more about the processing time at the logistics service provider.
