Hello, I am using an o2 prepaid card for some years now and now I want to move to a contract, potentially with different provider. However, the prepaid card is registered for a different person that I don’t know and have no contact with. How can I claim the number and change the ownership? I have seen a form being posted around, however it requires the signature of a previous owner which I can’t get. What should I do? Thank you!

Hi!
Your new provider does not offer a possibility to move your phone number with different owner data?
If not: Fill out the following document and send it by mail to o2
IMPORTANT: DO NOT ADD A COPY OF YOUR ID CARD OR PASSPORT!
All owner datas will removed.
You have to register the sim card / phone number by post-ident or video-ident (like, if you buy a new sim card in a market). You shoud check, if your ID card or passport is accepted by Deutsche Post for the identification. Read this posting for the registration too:

Hi! Thank you for your answer! this form outlines an OLD owner that I dont have. I have submitted the form already without the info about an old owner and O2 returned it to me saying “not enough info” in the form.
Only the old owner can enter the datas in the red box. Leave it blank but mark “Hiermit versichere ich, dass mir der bisherige Vertragsinhaber unbekannt ist und ich im Besitz der SIM-Karte bin.”
Here is an example for the ICCID (the iCCID has 18 or 19 digits / 12 or 13 digits in the short form)
Page 2 of the document
All fields must filled out
On Page 3 you will give o2 some permissions
DON`T FORGET TO SIGN THE DOCUMENT ON THE BOTTOM OF PAGE 3!
Did you filled out the document in this way?
By the way: Your new provider doesn't accept MNP with a different owner? (e.g. porting from another provider to o2 with a different owner is possible)

Thank you for the details, that was exactly what i have done and it was not enough - so the application was rejected due to the lack of the information in the form. Which info is missing - is. not clear though. Anyway, I am trying now the MNP - maybe it will work this way.
so unfortunately the MNP is rejected by o2 - as the lastname does not match on this number. is there a way to solve it? its a prepaid card and there was never a name. O2 does not accept the applications, does not give me a name, does not provide info I need to move on.
Sorry, its just such a bad service, it’s not easy to contain the emotions.
Hello @val.luzina,
due to data protection we cannot give any information regarding of other card owners when theres no provided legitimation. The data of the owner should be correct, thats why it was rejected.
Best regards,
Michi

Thank you for your answer. The point is that I am the owner. I bought this sim card in Saturn store and I use it ever since. But apparently in your database there is Max Mustermann name or similar, that I am not aware of. And now o2 wants me to provide consent from this imaginary “person”. My only question is how i become an owner of what I already own?

Can you explain the sense of the following sentence in this document?
Hiermit versichere ich, dass mir der bisherige Vertragsinhaber unbekannt ist und ich im Besitz der SIM-Karte bin

Thank you for taking time to get and read it - i know what it means and that’s true, i dont know the owner and i crossed it. I am calling hotline, maybe there will be a solution.
Hello @val.luzina,
here's what I can tell you: I have just looked at your data again. The transfer to your name etc. could not be carried out because information on the new contract holder and the signature were missing. That's why it was rejected. This means: fill out the letter again, tick the box " Hiermit versichere ich, dass mir der bisherige Vertragsinhaber unbekannt ist und ich im Besitz der SIM-Karte bin " again and make sure that you enter all the details of the new contract partner, i.e. your information, conscientiously and sign the form!
Everything should then be in order. If you have done all this and have received feedback, please feel free to contact us again!
Kind regards Jessica
@o2_Jessica : The way as described here?
Or is something missing?
Because:
Dear @val.luzina ,
please do what @tearsbeforecrying discribed above and fill out the part with your data. Your sign and your informations were missing.
