Hello,

I am an international student in Germany who had bought a prepaid o2 SIM card in the first week of October.

I am currently trying to setup a direct debit for my plan (o2 my Prepaid S). While I was successfully able to input my IBAN and BIC number, the website says “Direct debit is currently not possible” (image for reference).

Upon checking the automatic charging section of the website, I was asked to contact customer service (image for reference).

I, then, visited a couple of o2 stores. The employees there (who thankfully knew some English) said that they cannot do anything about it and I must use the Mein o2 app to solve the problem. However, the app says that my number cannot be used for this app.

I would be grateful if you help me setup direct debit before 5th November because my plan expires on that date.

On a side note, I would also appreciate it if the "Automatic data loop" service is disabled for my number.

Thank You.

Hi @Harshad

welcome to our community.

Unfortunately the credit check for direct debit failed so please continue to charge by transfer or purchasing a top up coupon.

I deactivated the Automatic Data Loop for you.

Greetings

Hello @o2_Manga.

Thank you for your response.

While for the following month I may have to top up using a coupon, is there a way I can activate the direct debit for my prepaid SIM? Because i still get the “contact customer support” error (please refer to image in the original post) whenever I try to enter the automatic charging section.

(Many thanks for disabling the automatic data loop for my number :D)

Hi @Harshad

nice that o2_Manga has already helped you with your requests.

No, if the direct debit failed, you have at the moment not the possibility for direct debitting. You can try later after some months if our system allows you for direct debitting. At the moment, you will not have any chance.

But of course, you are able to choose one of the following possibilities (besides direct debit):

Loving greetings,

Tobias
