Prepaid SIM card activation problem

Hello!

I bought O2 prepaid sim card online 2 weeks ago. I tried to activate through Video-Ident and they did not accept my Indian Passport (also my German residence Permit was not sufficient) and asked me to approach the Deutsche Post. The Deutsche Post person tried to identify my passport but the machine did not accept it. Then I tried the O2 shop and they said they cannot activate a sim card that is bought online. So I simply cannot use O2 sim card?!

Hi @Anand1,

you certainly can use an o2 SIM card. However, I would suggest you buy it directly at an o2 Shop and have them activate it right there.

@o2_Nicolas I brought my prepaid o2 sim card from dm store in freiburg and was unable to activate it on video conferencing or postident as both are not accepting indian passport.
People at o2 stores say they can activate sim cards brought from o2 stores only.
Please help me in activating my prepaid o2 sim card.
