Hi, I currently am using O2 on a contract that is month to month and can be cancelled at any point. I need a new phone and was looking at extending my contract, however the deals offered for new phones and tariffs basically provide no discount at all, which is surprising considering I’ve been using o2 for more than 5 years. Would it be a better and cheaper option for me to just cancel my current monthly contract and just start a new one? As it seems they provide more discounts for new customers.

that is always hard to say without knowing exactly what contract and what hardware you were looking at.  There can always be case where an extension or a new contract is clearly a better option, and if you have the flexibility to cancel your contract then that is of course something to consider. If you tell us what model of smartphone and what amount of datavolume you are looking for in your contract, we’ll be happy to see if we can make you an offer for that combination.
