My o2 unlimited smart not working

I have unlimited smart package since two years, it happened that my phone internet was not working for an hour some days but yesterday 27.01.2025, while I was in a town in Munich (olching) at work, my phone stopped working from 20:50 to 21:50, it was all dead even I was not able to speak to my boss and continue my job. I even called my wife from another number to contact o2 but o2 told my wife that they need 4 digit code and didn't help.

Now my question is how can I ask for reimbursement from o2 for this work and make a complaint against this action and why this happened. I may lose my job because of this problem.

Hi @Elias Jalal,

Malfunctions in mobile networks, but also in the fixed network, occur occasionally. In your case, it was apparently ‘only’ an hour. According to the current legal situation, you would be entitled to compensation from the 3rd day of the disruption. I do not assume that o2 will pay you compensation as a gesture of goodwill in this case.

Incidentally, you can view and report faults in Telefónica's mobile network in Livecheck: http://g.o2.de/livecheck.

Kind regards,
Alex

Hello @Elias Jalal,

welcome to our o2 Community 🙂

That is not a very nice experience which you described about the loss of network coverage at the place in Olching where you has a work visit at the beginning of this week.

Yes, MXP_Alex is correct when explaining how network malfunctions can unfortunately occur and the currect legal framework prescribes that comepnsation are to be paid when a reported loss of complete network coverage lasts for the 3rd consecutive day.

Thank you also very much, MXP_Alex, for adding the link to our live check 🙂

Best Regards,

Gerrit
