My mobile internet has stopped working. I travel to Finland regularly and roaming in the EU is included in my contract. Lats month when I was in Finland, the mobile internet connection was slow and occasionally not wortking. I just arrived in Finland again yesterday and now it isn’t working at all. I an depending on my phone and mobile internet for my work so this is causing me a lot of problems.
I was in the UK the past few days where I didn’t have the same problem. Please help.

have you tried maybe switching to a different provider in Finland, maybe the net itself is experiencing some local issues. If you didn’t change anything about your roaming options and it worked on previous trips and recently in the UK, then this seems a likely cause. You contract itself also still has enough data volume left, not that you can’t access the internet because of a data cap.

Thank you for your response. I have tried both the ‘automatic’ network choice and manually changing the network. I have an Iphone 6. This did not solve the problem. I can now get mobile internet, but it lasts like 5 minutes and then my phone loses it again. It takes ages to find the networks and constantly drops out of them, which is very frustrating. I have done the obvious: switched phone off and on (multiple times), swotched off / on airport mode, wifi, cellular mode… I reset the network settings. I called 02 who also reset the sim card’s network settings. Nothing helps. I’m in a country that has great internet connection everywhere, including countryside. I’m in the capital area, and I can’t rely on my mobile internet. This seems to be just the issue in Finland, since it worked fine in the UK
This is causing me so many problems that if this isn’t fixed, I am forced to change my network provider. I travel to Finland for work regularly and I must have functioning mobile internet during my trips.

Sorry I correct my previous message: I have an IPhone 7. My phone software is up to date. I’ve tried all the options for Finnish networks, but my phone constantly loses the connection and then takes ages to search for it again.

As you did everything, maybe it was the net experiencing some local issues?
As you are traveling a lot for work. Does it work by now?

No, this problem is not solved. It happens every time I go to Finland. I have called your helpline several times and they have not solved it. I am currently in South Korea but as soon as I return to Germany I will end my contract with O2 and change to a different network provider as this has been absolutely infuriating. 


Hello @Lauruus, I'm sorry this might be the last option for you. In some posts here in the community I read that it is difficult to get a connection in Finnlad.

The partner for Finland would be:
