Contract Cancellation

Hello,

I am writing here since I was unable to communicate with customer service people in my broken German and there was no attempt made whatsoever to accommodate my broken German either.

I have just cancelled my mobile sim contract but i am also required to call the customer care and let them know about this, which I am unable to do. Could you please let me know  how do I do this? Is it possible to write an email or is it possible to do it here or should i send a letter? There was no information about sending a letter but just to contact the customer service my telephone. I am attaching the screenshot anyways.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Mudassir

Hello, as far as I remember they do have an English customer service 0.0

However writing an email in English should be no problem and might work better and faster. :)

@Kitty Cat Thank you for your response. I did specifically ask if they could connect me to someone who speaks English and I was unfortunately said No. Also, I couldn’t find that option before connected to the customer care. I will wait for some moderator to reply and if I don’t, then i will right an email to the customer care.

Hi @mudassirshaikhji,

that’s clearly less than ideal that they didn’t refer you to someone who speaks English.

In your case, I guess it’s best if your write a letter (since e-mail is not a reliable option at o2, unfortunately), you can send it to the following address:

Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG
Kundenbetreuung
90345 Nürnberg

Make sure to include your customer number as well as your phone number.
Also, it has turned out to be useful to send it by registered mail, that way you have proof you actually sent in your cancellation in time (ie more than 3 months before the end of your regular contract).

Hello @Hansestädter,

Thank you for your response. I will write a letter to the address you posted.

Best regards,

Hello Mudassir :relaxed:

was the cancellation successful? If you have further questions feel free to ask us here.

Best regards,

Michi

Hello Michi,

Thank you for following up. I am not sure about that the successful cancellation yet. I received a call just now from O2 and I wasn’t able to understand the lady completely. I could understand that it was about the cancellation of the contract and that was it :(  . Since I have sent the contract cancellation letter before the cut-off date, I hope that it will be accepted and duly processed.

Best regards,

Mudassir

Hi @mudassirshaikhji,

good that you come to our English community here again.

I just checked everything. We received your cancellation letter on 16th June. And your contract will end on 30th September 2020. So, everything is okay with your cancelation.

Please be aware of the fact that you still have 2 devices. If you like to cancel them in advance, please use the following link: early deactivation of your device You will then be informed about the amount that you still need to pay. Otherwise the rates will end at the end of your 24-month-period.

I hope that this information was helpful for you.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
