Change from contract to prepaid

Hi, I currently have a (monthly paid) post contract with O2 and I would like to know if it is possible to cancel my contract to move to a prepaid tariff (O2 my Prepaid S) as I would like to keep using O2, but control more my expenses. I would like to keep using my number too. Can you help me with the procedure to follow?

Firstly, the link you posted is three years old, and secondly, it does not say that it is possible to switch from postpaid to prepaid, but that you can terminate the postpaid contract at the end of the contract term and (at any time) buy a prepaid card. This is still correct today, but you will not be able to keep your number as internal number transfers are no longer possible.
