Hallo I have a postpaid contract and I would like to terminate my contact and change my sim to prepaid. Please tell me the procedure.

you just have to cancel your contract normally (via fax, post) and get a new prepaid card. ☺️

in order to transfer your number to a prepaid SIM card, please contact us shortly before your contract is up. We will then release the number and you can transfer it. To do so, please log onto your Myo2 account when you have your Prepaid SIM and follow these steps:



Log in (or register) to www.o2online.de/mein-o2 with your Prepaid SIM Card information



--> move to "Tarif & SIM Karte" (Contract and SIM)



--> move to "Vertrag verwalten" (manage contract)



--> move to "Rufnummer zu o2 mitnehmen" (mobile number transfer) and click on "weiter"



--> fill out the form as follows:



The part I painted yellow and then crossed out is where your new Prepaid number, which is first registered to your new SIM when you receive it.



Just below, where it says o2 Prepaid/ Loop, you will then have to choose o2 Postpaid. As I was using an o2 Postpaid Account, this option was not available to me at the time.



I hope that this is understandable, unfortunately we do not have this document in English.

JFYI, this is no longer possible. I wasted my money on prepaid sim. I got the below reply today.

Ein Rufnummernwechsel aus einem o2 Vertrag zu einer o2 Prepaid-Karte ist seit dem 18. Februar 2020 nicht mehr möglich und daher können wir Ihrem Wunsch nicht entsprechen.

 

Bei weiteren oder allgemeinen Fragen hierzu, kontaktieren Sie bitte unsere Kundenbetreuung.

Is the above statements are still valid as I tried to do it recently and it said we can’t take the number to same network provide. 

Any suggestion for the current procedure will be great.

Yes, I can confirm that porting your o2 prepaid number to an o2 postpaid contract is free of charge! :nerd:

You can apply for porting yourself in your customer account!
