Can I already purchase prepaid before my contract from other provider ends?

Hi,

My 1&1 contract will end in April 2022 and then I would like to move to O2 prepaid plan and also keep my old number.

How can I secure a new O2 prepaid order before my 1&1 contract ends?

Also, few other related questions:

  • Just to confirm, Does “my prepaid S” plan has unlimited calls and SMS (incoming + outgoing) only within Germany? or across EU?
  • Is it possible to have a eSIM card?
  • Does it have a multi-card function (same phone number but 2 eSIM cards)?
  • How do payments work for prepaid connections?

You can go and get a new prepaid SIM right here: www.o2.de/freikarte

We provide a temporary mobile phone number until your contract with 1&1 ends and then you can ask for porting the number online.

My Prepaid S contains an Allnetflat (Calls/SMS) to all German networks.

Calling abroad is extra charged. But if you are abroad inside EU calls to Germany and other EU countries is free of charge.

Multicards are not available within prepaid contracts as well as eSIMs.

You can charge your package by purchasing a code in retail or set up a direct debit by giving your bank details.
