I have signed up for DSL tariff since I came her 6 weeks ago , I was promised an appointment after 3 weeks which is already very long period for a student to stay without internet given that other internet providers promised me that it takes only 2 weeks but I naively went with o2 thinking they have a good service . 3 weeks has passed and on the day of activation no body came at all and I've waited from 8 am in the morning till 6 pm . I also got no messages on that day that the technician wont come in fact i got a confirmation SMS & email . On the following day I called to check what's wrong and the said the technician wrote a note in the end of the day that the appointment didn't just happen . the customer service agent then promised me that ill be getting an appointment after 10 days and then i was sent an email from o2 that the appointment is in fact will be in 15 days. The 15 days has passed and on the promised day the technician called on 11:30 to tell me that something is wrong where i live technically and that he wont even come on that day. Then  i got an call the following day to get a third appointment in which the agent promised me that it will be exactly on the next Friday from 8 to 12 and of course after that I received an email with absolutely different date which is after Friday by 5 days again which is on Wednesday the 3rd of November . Now of course nobody will come on that day and I'm done wasting my time waiting for a technician to come so my question is : Is getting internet working for somebody is just a mere joke to you ? now I don't know if you know how the world run but a I don't think anybody can operate without it now and I'm a masters student that has to go through a lot of efforts , waisted time and money because you cant keep up with your promise . I was even going to get a mobile phone tariff contract but I was luckily saved because i can only get the discount when my internet get activated . Now the tariff I signed up for is for students so that should give you a clue of how desperate I am for inherent and all I'm think of now that this is some sort of negligence or act of racism against me given that my neighbor that comes from the same country i come from had to go through the same story 3 times now . And lastly back to my question and its an honest one that i need an answer for really , IS OUR TIME JUST A JOKE TO YOU ?! 

It would not be any quicker for other providers because they all use the same infrastructure and rely on the technicians from Telekom.

Playing the racism card is ridiculous. DSL connections take 3 - 4 weeks to set up and if that is too long for you then an alternative would be mobile internet to bridge the gap.


Well lets say that it usually takes between 3-4 weeks , then why I'm entering my 6th weeks without it and getting an appointment in the 8th one . I didn’t say that's an actual racisms but that's the only thing I’m left to think given that the technician didn’t even come for 2 consecutive appointments with no reasons and the same thing happening with my neighbor . Not only that but the technician actually came to him the first time and didn't do anything and just went while telling him to get a new appointment . Since that day which was 3 weeks ago not a single technician has came or even gave an excuse to why isn’t he coming . Just leaving a blank page for us to fill for the reasons  . While many other neighbors in the same building have their internet running smoothly from the same provider . 

Also mobile internet is not what i signed up for with o2 and its expensive to get one with unlimited data . Even though I’ve tried to get one from o2 but it was going to be more expensive for me as for them I’m still a new customer because I don’t have any of their services running already

If so then they have to do something about it because its causing troubles for their customers and inform the customers from the very beginning that “Telekom” can provide you with internet starting from 3 weeks to infinity number of weeks . Because as far as am concerned the contract i got from o2 just mentioned an appointment after 3 weeks . 

And yes I got another appointment after another 2 weeks , while truth is I don't have any faith that its going to happen and its leaving me lost regarding the action i should do to get internet running in my apartment .

I understand your disappointment concerning the activation of your DSL-contract. 

As a student, you are completely dependant on internet. That´s clear. 

I hope that the appointment on 3rd November will be successful this time. 

Meanwhile, you have the possibility to order a mobile test-card for one month completely free of charge and with unlimited internet-connection. Just have a look here: o2 test-card 

I hope that the test-card will be helpful for you and that you will soon have the possibility to use your DSL-contract.
