o2 homespot and nintedo switch

Dear customers service,

I have read a lot of different things about homespot and public ip. Some say it works with the nintendo switch, some say it does. Can you actually get a nat type b with it?

I would like to have an official confirmation from the customers service.

I also wanted to ask if it is possible to enable the public ip on a mobile tariff like free m? Or is it only possible with the homespot?

Hi @It's a me!

welcome to our English Community.

As @Sandroschubert already told you, please avoid to open several threads for the same subject. Therefore, we already closed the following thread:

Of course, we offer a public IPv4-address for all sim-cards, whether it is a homespot-sim-card, a normal mobile phone-sim-card or a data-card.

The IPv4-address enables anyone to establish a direct connection to the device via the Internet. But please be aware that by exploiting various vulnerabilities, files or confidential information can fall into the hands of cyber criminals. Each user is responsible himself/ herself for protecting his/ her own network: for example to update the firmware of the device regularly, install firewall, hide IP address while surfing.

The activation-fee for the public IPv4-address is 49,99 € one-time-fee. Please confirm if you agree to this fee.

Additionally, you need to change the APN to “netpublic”. If you find out that the public IPv4-address does not make sense for you, you have a cancellation-period within the first 14 days.

So, you just can try out if the public IPv4-address is beneficial for you.

Please let me know if you like to get it activated.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
