Have you tried the usual measures?

Switch the mobile phone completely off and on again (really completely off and on again).

Have you carried out a manual network search and tested several providers?

Have you checked your mobile phone itself to see if anything is set there? Have you tried inserting your SIM card into another mobile phone to see if it works there?

I will try on my next visit, which is next weekend. Glad to know that there's no blocking.

I occasionally received Welcome roaming sms but when I check the network, it's "No Network"

And absolutely no incoming or outgoing for calls or sms.

I hope things work out for you this time, when you are manually selecting the network make sure to try this several times if you get a negative response or no response at all.
