Hi

 

I am o2 prepaid user. I am being charged 99c per day because I’m on Loop tariff. I want to change this because I hardly use any data on my phone, and it makes is almost 30e a month for nothing!

 

It’s impossible to change this tariff - very frustrating :(

 

I try on the page it says:

 

Leider ist ein Tarifwechseln über „Mein O2“ derzeit nicht möglich. Bitte verwenden Sie den Tarifmanager über *107# auf Ihrem Handy um den gewünschten Tarifwechsel durchzuführen.

 

Then I type this code (*107#) on my phone and it only tells me to top.

 

How do I switch this off?

 

Please help, this seems like I can do nothing, hotline is in German, nightmare :(

Hello!

The Surf Dayflat is a cost protection and cannot be deactivated.
The Surf Dayflat is only activated if your smartphone connects to the internet without a booked option with internet access. You should check your settings on your smartphone.
However, if your smartphone continues to connect to the Internet, you can contact the customer service to block permanently the access to the Internet or the SIM card. You can still access the Internet via WiFi.
Or you can book the smallest pack: o2 my Prepaid Basic for 1.99 euros / 28 days.

I do need to connect to the internet, but I don’t want to be charged so much for it.

So moving to S plan, or even M would be just fine.

Problem is that it is technically impossible to do as I described above.

The website does not allow me to change the plan.

I will try to top up my account and buy internet package - perhaps that will help.


If you go to the following page in Mein o2, you cannot book the o2 my Prepaid S, o2 my Prepaid M or o2 my Prepaid L?

I am having the same problem! I purchased my prepaid O2 -S pack sim in December, and successfully activated it. However in my mein O2 app it shows my tariff as O2 loop and in the combined options it shows my Prepaid S pack, because of this, my data is being used from the S pack and calls and texts from O2 loop. I am charged on every national call. Kindly resolve this as I have been having this sim card problem for a while now.

Hi, 

I am an O2 prepaid user since September 2021. In my O2 app it shows my tariff as O2 loop. This has in built charges for calls and surfing and its really distressing me because I am unable to change it.

I already have subscribed to a data pack and I don’t need the loop tariff. It keeps deducting money from my credit and I want this to stop! 

I am wondering how to deactivate this. I get this message constantly “Please use the tariff manager via *107# on your cell phone to carry out the desired tariff change.”

However it doesn’t work and I want to resolve it soon. Please let me know how I can fix this.

welcome to the community and thank you for your enquiry. :blue_heart:
With prepaid, there is always a basic setting for the calculation. This means that normal use without a tariff is capped, which ultimately serves to protect the user.
Are you sure there is a pack active right now? Have you already checked this in your My o2 app?
If a pack/tariff is active, the calculation of daily packs should stop. Maybe something went wrong with the booking?

I have the same problem, I can’t change my plan to prepaid M. 

 

Now I seem to be on O2 Loop and I don’t speak German but I want to do it online. Could you please help me with that? It is impossible to do it online on my own because there’s no available tariff to change into.

what payment method are you using? Without available bank deduction you’d need to add funds to your card first.
