If the new contract is active, you can use this form request number portability.
Specify the changeover date at the end of the contract.

Sorry I didn't get it. I don't have a new contract yet, the las tone already finished. I didn't order anything yet, just not sure where to buy a new mobile plan with my same number or SIM.

you can transfer the number from the former contract within 90 days after the termination of the contract, but technically a contract has to be active to port the number onto a new tariff.

Are you planning to get a new contract from us or maybe another provider?

when you have an active contract from another provider, you need to order a porting of your former phone number there. Either via written form or through your new online account from the new provider. There are two types of porting a phone number:

1. After termination of the former contract (this is your option) or
2. Within the contract period while the contract is still running.  

After this, your new provider will tell you the exact date of the porting and then you can use your o2 phone number on your new contract/tariff.
