I have been trying to cancel my contract and I'm still getting charged

Hi, I left Germany about a month ago and came back to America after the conclusion of the winter semester. Before I did, I sent the cancellation letter to the Nürnberg address with all of the necessary files, with proof of leaving Germany and everything, and I’m still getting charged and cannot reach anyone to cancel my account. This is incredibly distressing and not an extra level of stress I need during the pandemic. Someone at o2 needs to help me cancel my contract.

If you sent a cancellation letter, the contract ends after 24 months.

Or did you try to cancel the contract out of good will to an earlier date with this form?

It was definitely that form.

Hi @k8adler,

thanks for your request concerning a cancellation.

Please do not open a thread for the same subject twice. Therefore, I have just closed the message under the link https://hilfe.o2online.de/english-o2-community-mobile-43/please-help-me-cancel-my-contract-from-abroad-533856 .

As I see, you have already sent the cancellation because of moving abroad to us. We informed you on 12th March already that we still need the following document:

  • a deregistration certificate of your place of residence in Germany

Until now, we did not receive that document.

Please send the document to the following address:

Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG

Kundenbetreuung

90345 Nürnberg

or by fax: 01805 571 766

As soon as we receive the requested document, we will deactivate your contract to the earliest possible date.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
