@MrSki The surf dayflat can‘t been disabled. Can I ask you what exact mobile phone you use, so that by deactivate mobile data a dayflat sometimes will been booked.
I’m using a dual sim Xiaomi Mi9.
I have the second simcard (non o2) set as default data sim.
@MrSki have tried to delete the apn for the o2 SIM card on your Mi9?
edited: Other way call the hotline and deactivate mobile data for the o2 SIM card. But then you have only 2G/3G.
I may need to use the data via o2 sim in the future (and on short notice too), so I rather not go down the route of having to call the hotlines to deactivate, and then presumably call the hotline to reactivate.
Am I right thinking that after deleting the APN I will be able to revert it to default easily?
Why isnt this something that is easily done? Pay-as-you-go tarifs supposed to be simple and effective solutions for paying only when using the data/call minutes.
@MrSki Unfortunately o2 does not support this. I do not know why.
I deleted the APN. We will see what happens tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
Hi @MrSki,
welcome to our English community.
@Joe Doe already gave you some suggestions. Were these already helpful for you?
Do I understand you correctly that you like to block the usage of mobile internet so that you do not have a charge for the Surf-Dayflat each day?
Loving greetings,
Tobias
Hi, so @Joe Doe ‘s sugestion to delete the APN in order to stop my phone connecting to the internet worked, in the sense that my o2 sim now just can’t connect to mobile internet at all.
What I would like to know is a simple and quick solution to connect to mobile internet on days when I need to use my o2 sim for that purpose, AND a simple and quick solution to stop my phone from connecting to mobile internet when I do not wish to use that service.
I was always under impression that the sole purpose of pay-as-you-go tarifs is to pay a fee only when services are used (i.e. per minute of call, SMS, a day of internet surfing). Am I wrong?
Thanks,
