Hi,

I want to terminate my contact with O2, as I don’t live In Germany anymore and went back to my homeland. When I first bought my SIM card they told me that I should pay 5 extra euros every month and cancel the contract whenever I want and i’ve been doing that ever since.

When i went to the O2 shop they told i should call a number on the mein O2 app and tell them and they will do it for me. When i tried to do that they kept on transferring me multiple times to different departments and finally when someone answered they hung up on me. I tried to call again and someone answered and told me that i’ll get a confirmation email telling me that my contract is now cancelled, I received no such thing till now and I’m not in Germany anymore.

and as I no longer have a bank account in Germany, I also told the person to send me the bank transfer details for O2 so that I can transfer my last bill and of course I received nothing as well.

what should i do in that case? And who shall i contact especially when i’m not in germany anymore? And can i let someone i know who is living in Germany now do if for me?

welcome to our English Community. Thanks for your request concerning the final payments of your contract. 

 

As I see, you clarified everything already by e-mail with my colleagues. 

 

As soon as you receive your invoice, you can just transfer your payment. Of course, you can also ask a friend in Germany to pay the still open amount. But please make sure that your friend indicates your customer-number in the “reason for payment” (Verwendungszweck).
