Contract Cancellation


As I was still a student, when first arrive to Germany in 2018 and I don’t know much German at that moment, even now I am not be fully understanding the contract in detail. There was an agent/reseller in Mannheim helped me to creating the contract and told me that I could simply cancel the contract just 1 month before the contract end. Which I had double confirm the same agent/reseller in person before I leave German in Dec 2019 with same question and got the same answer.

 

However, when I chat with LG Niko through messenger on 7 June 2020 as I wanted to cancel my contract, Niko told me that is the information given from the agent/reseller is incorrect. My contract was auto renewed and new contract end date is 19 Aug 2021, which I am not willing to. Actually, I am not aware of this and there is no any notification sent to me by email or sms. Can I ask a special arrangement to cancel my existing contract at 19 Aug 2020 in exceptional, to align back to my original contract end date?

Besides, I will not and not able to come back to Germany because Covid-19, I am currently staying in Hong Kong in my family’s property and I do not have a job so I do not have confirmation from employer or landlord, however I have a bank statement from my Hong Kong account that states my living address. Other than that, I do not have a registration certificate of your present place of residence either as there is no registration needed in Hong Kong. I am not able to do a phone call as my phone plan doesnt include international calling in Hong Kong. I hope someone could help with my cancellation.

sorry for the delayed answer. I see you already cancelled your contract, but there was a futher question regarding the period of your monthly invoice.

Yes, it’s the 20th to the 19th of the month. A week later the invoice is available and another week later it will be deducted (around the 3rd of the following month).

May I know is it possible for me to pay the fee of my monthly plan from now to 19th August 2020, plus the one time termination fee of EUR 17,66 in advance? Because I am currently not in Germany and I will cancel my bank account once I return, so I would like to pay the future mobile phone fee until my contract ends in advance.

If yes, would you mind letting me know how much is the total cost with the one time termination fee of EUR 17,66, and the bank account information for me to pay the money

Hello Sir,

      I have prepaid sim card of o2 and I have applied for another provider for the same number as I want to take my o2 number with me. They mailed me that your previous provider didn’t accept our request. Please contact your old provider first. He will give the release for the early transfer of phone numbers ("opt-in") at your request. One more thing I have 8 euros balance in my o2 account. Now tell me what to do for early transfer of my o2 number?

As you were told by your new provider, we first of all have to release your number. This I have just done. You will receive a text message (SMS) as a confirmation. 

 

Please contact now your new provider and ask again for the porting of your number. We will charge you with the amount of 6,82 €. Therefore, make sure that you have this amount as credit on your card. 

 

If you still have a certain credit on your card after the porting of your number, you can fill out this document: http://g.o2.de/pre-auszahlung We will then transfer the amount to your bank-account.
