Dear Sirs/Madams,

I am currently 4 months before my end of contract. As I want to terminate my contract and see that I have to request it 3 months before, I already sent the termination letter to this address using the termination contract template I get in this forum:

A few days ago, I got an SMS that says:

Sehr geehrte Frau Anggraini, Ihr Tarif beinhaltete für 2 Jahre besondere Konditionen. Diese werden erlöschen, wenn wir nicht wieder gemeinsam nach dem passenden Tarif für Sie schauen. Bitte kommen Sie doch schnellstmöglich bei uns vorbei. Ihr o2 Shop,  Berliner Allee 58 13088 Berlin. Telefon: 030-92047420

As my German is not very great and only rely on Google Translate, I want to confirm that I don’t need to come to the O2 Shop in Berliner Allee as it will be terminated automatically at the end of the contract. Am I under the right impression?

  1. If I need to go to the O2 Shop, can I go to the nearest O2 Shop from my house instead of that branch, as I already move apartment and it’s pretty far away from where I live now?
  2. If no, can anyone direct me to any step I need to do to terminate the contract?

If you sent a cancellation request to our customer service just in time we will finish the contract properly to the end of the period.

I have doubt as the SMS said that “Bitte kommen Sie doch schnellstmöglich bei uns vorbei. Ihr o2 Shop”, which would be difficult for me to travel that far as I just give birth to my first son. If we can make sure that I don’t need to come and the contract will be terminated for sure, I would be very appreciate it!

If the contract has been terminated in writing in due time, it ends at the end of the term.


The SMS from the shop (in which the contract was probably concluded at the time) is only an indication that the current conditions will end soon ... the shop does not yet know that the contract has been canceled by you.

first of all, I would like to congratulate to the birth of your son. :hugging:  

I confirm that we have received your cancellation-letter already. The cancellation will be done to the next possible date. 

You will see the cancellation-date on your next bill under the topic “Gut zu wissen”. 

So, if you do not like to prolong your contract or to have a new contract, you do not need to go to the o2 Shop.
