Can't cancel SIM, no customer number


Hi, 

I use a prepaid SIM with o2 but have moved country so no longer need this, I didn't top up this month as I assume this would cancel my SIM, but I received an email saying I will be automatically charged on 15.09 if I don't top up.

 

I see the “terminate contract ” section, try to use this, but need a customer number to cancel. I know they don't give customer numbers to prepaid SIM 's, so how do I cancel my SIM? I don't want to be charged again because the SIM isn't in use anymore. I also can't call the helpline because I don't speak German.

Hi @gtwaddell,

to avoid additional costs, I would recommend that you deactivate the automatic top-up and revoke the SEPA direct debit mandate.

The contract cancellation form is intended for term contracts.

Thanks for the reply.

I have turned off the top up already, how do i revoke direct debit? I tried removing my bank account from the express top up but it says I can’t without providing another payment method.

 

I’m worried about the email I received, saying that if I don’t top up they will automatically charge me. How can I stop this?

I have deleted your direct debit authorization, so there will be no further debits from your account. Please find here the form for prepaid cancellation and refund of remaining credits.
