I have recently changed my phone and now m unable to receive Bank app activation otp. How this will be resolved?? I am getting normal otp for example if do any transaction on internet banking then i receive otp on my number but when  i try to activate my bank account application, i dont recieve any otp. Nothing is changed with the bank. Its only the phone and sim i changed recently. 
 

Please try to resolve this problem!

Which of your telephone numbers is this? Please name the last three digits of the phone number.
What exactly is not working? You don't receive an activation SMS from the bank?

Have you asked your bank if there are any problems with the activation or the number change there?

Hi,

my number is +49xxxxxxxx008.

I have already checked with the bank. It is nothing which is changed with bank it is as usual as it was before changing my phone or sim. It is definitely the problem with sim. Yes I don’t receive bank activation code on my phone number.

when other banking SMS arrive it is very unusual. Are you sure you have entered the number correctly (no wrong numbers or similar)?
I'll open a ticket about the SMS, but it may take a while to be processed, especially with the holidays coming up.

I need the following information for the ticket:

How long have you been trying to activate the banking app (please specify date and time)?
Which mobile phone do you use?

Hi,

I cant specify the exact time and date, but i changed my phone from Iphone XS Max to Iphone XR on 26 November. After 1-2 days I ordered a new esim, because i was using a esim. Now i got the new esim I have activated everything in new phone but the bank application of a Indian bank is unable to connect to the network may be that is why it does not get any OTP for bank application activation. But it is sure that is happened after my sim change. Nothing is updated from the bank side.

 

Please try to solve this problem because it is really very important. I read do so many questions about the same issue faced by people with O2.

Hi @Shbh,
did you perhaps order a multi or data SIM card? If so, check the SIM card settings under My o2, because only one of the SIM cards receives SMS. If you have not made any change, it is always the main SIM card that receives SMS. If you have now activated a multi or data SIM card, the SMS will still go to the huapt SIM card.
You can change the settings online. In the following screenshots I show you how to do that:

Please scroll down to the bottom of this overview and click here

Check, if the right sim-card-number is in here. If its not, click “Einstellung Ändern”

Select the SIM card number to which you would like to receive your SMS in the future.

After that you will get a confirmation and shortly after that you will get your SMS to the right SIM card and otp should work then. It might be necessary to restart all Multi- or Datacards in use to make the change work, but most of the time this is not necessary.
