Hello,

I have a question regarding a transfer of ownership of an O2 DSL home connection. As others before, my roommate is leaving and I would like to keep my O2 internet connection active. However, he cannot do any transfer of ownership from the O2 website. By looking into the previous posts on this forum, I found the “Beauftragung zur Übertragung Ihres O2 DSL-Anschlusses” form which we will now fill.

My first question is thus : 1) is this form still accepted to complete a transfer of ownership ?

Second and third are two smaller questions : 2) when doing so, is there a period of time when the DSL connection is cut and 3) does the minimal commitment time (let’s say 24 months), resets with the change of ownership ?

Thank you in advance for your help,

All the best,

Alex

Hello @maxnotsowell ,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

You should be able to use the old paper form, though as far as I’m informed the issues with the online process for the transfer have been fixed, so you might want to give that another shot. As for your other two questions, the connections remains for the transfer and you keep whatever remaining duration the contract still hast, there is no reset back to 24 months.

Kind regards, Sven
