I signed a 2-year contract which began to be effective in May 2013 and my package costs 24,99 euros per month. I want to cancel this contract. The reason is that I will leave Germany and go to Taiwan for exchange program. I will leave Germany on July 19th, 2014. Therefore, I would like to officially cancel my contract before July 19! I now have following documents;
(1) Photocopy of my passport
(2) Photocopy of my Germany visa (to prove that it only lasts until end of July 2014)
(3) Photocopy of my Taiwan visa (to prove that I will really go to Taiwan)
(4) Photocopy of Taiwanese university’s exchange student admission letter (to prove that I will really join the exchange program)
(5) Photocopy of airplane ticket (to prove that I will leave Germany on July 19, 2014)
I think the company also wants the leaving-the-city form from the city in Germany that I live in now. This is a problem because the city hall only allows me to process the leaving-the-city form on July 17, 2014. And another problem is I will close my Deutsche bank account on July 18, 2014. So, there's no way o2 can deduct next month's premium and penalty fee from my account. My questions are;
1. What other documents does the company need in order to let me cancel my contract?
2. After I get my leaving-the-city form on July 17, I can fax to company and can company deduct the premium for June and July as well as penalty fees from my Deutsche bank account on July 18, 2014?
3. How much do I have to pay in total?

The very next day, I had approached the guy in the nearby O2 store to provide me the cheapest plan by O2 as I cannot afford to spend a lot. He made me to sign a contract with O2 for 24 months on March 21st 2015 with the plan Blue All in L for 35 euros per month.Since I am new to the country, I believed that this was the cheapest one. The plan doesn't even come with a Handy also. 35 euros is only for the post paid connection. Later I found out that there were cheaper plans for O2 in prepaid section.
In addition to this, the whole contract is in German and I can't make any sense out of it.
I am struggling to meet ends now. Kindly aid me breaking this contract and letting me get a pre paid connection from O2. I am open to other solutions which are cheaper than this as well. Please let me know what to do.

I am sorry but unfortunately we have no possibility to change your contract to a prepaid plan. I suggest to visit the shop where you signed the contract and explain that there must have been a misunderstanding, I am convinced they will help you there.

I tried to contact the same but the conversation is in German and I can't understand what they are saying. The person at the O2 shop said he can't translate the whole thing for me. we have also some english speaking agents that will be able to answer your questions via phone but as I said before we do not have the possibility to cancel a contract that you signed in a shop. If the shop is willing to cancel this contract for you, the shop itself has to call its hotline (not the normal customer service) and inform them about the cancelation.

A little concerned, I planned to cancel my contract on the anticipated due date, but it looks like my contract was extended two years instead of one. Initially my contracted ended 24 Aug 15, but seems it extended until 25 Aug 17 and not the normal 1 year. Can you help me understand why?

I went to the shop where I got it but I was told I couldn't cancel it there, that I had to send the request as a letter by mail together with (too many) certifications. I did this 10 days ago but I didn't got any answer. I am now wondering if this is normal or if I sent it to the wrong address. Also, I see in previous posts here that there might be a formulary too. Could you help me with this? Could you send me the full list of requirements and the mail address?

Obviously I will not have my abmeldung until closer to my leaving date. Is there a way I can start the process of cancellation now and send the Abmeldung later?

I'm sorry, but there is no other way than the one you know. The cancellation because of leaving the country is just a goodwill regulation. Please make sure that o2 has the possibility to debit the final revision afterwards from a valid bank account.
