I have an Asus GT-AX11000 and I’m trying to get IPv6 to work on it.  Do I need to request IPv6 to be activated on my line or should it already be done?  I am not sure which options are needed, so can you tell me the important parameters?

I currently have it set as:

Connection Type: Native

Interface: PPP

DHCP-PD: enable

Accept default route: enable

Auto Configuration Setting: enable

Enable Router Advertisement: enable

Thanks

Bei allen o2 DSL Anschlüssen die seit dem 27.04.2017 bestellt worden sind, ist IPv4/IPv6 Dual Stack automatisch aktiv.

My connection was originally activated in 2014 and was moved within my district (10409 → 10439) in 2015.

Does enabling IPv6 change anything about having a public IPv4 address (e.g. so that I can SSH to my home machine)?

No.

Sounds like a pure WLAN router. However, IPv6 must possibly also be activated in the modem(-router).
For older DSL connections, use the English hotline or wait (longer) for a moderator.

Hi @John F

The IPv6 connections is now available. After a router restart everything should work as planned.

We will get back to you in your previous posting

Best regards Matze
