As in the title, I am paying for 250/40, and my modem suggests that I should be able to get 311/50, but In reality I’m only getting 185/37 sync and in real terms, closer to 170/35.

What can be done to fix this?

You are not paying for exactly 250, that is the maximum in the tarif. Probably no more than 185 is possible at your address if that is the DSLAM maximum sync.

bs0 your comment is not helpful.  I am receiving only 68% of what I pay for, which is far away from fair.  My understanding of the new amendments to the telecommunications act is that I should expect to receive around 90% of what I pay for and that I am eligible for a reduction in price below that amount.

If I were getting 225mb/s down and 37mb/s I wouldn’t be trying to figure this out.

I am also looking at a modem that tells me that I should be able to receive 311mb/s down and 50mb/s up.  I would like to know why O2 is not providing me what I pay for when my connection seems to be capable of it.

And a few days ago I was reliably syncing at 211mb/s and getting 190 down, for 10 consecutive days (the first 10 days of my new XL pacakge)

I have a 21db SNR Margin, which according to this post, is excellent.

Hello @John 8484848,

I have already answered in your other post:

Please remain in one post with the same issue.

Best regards
