I have an external router (TP-Link W8970) and it doesn't allow me to connect to internet. The technician came last Monday to my place and, after connecting a couple of cables and check some plugs, he said that I should have internet.
I'm able to enter in the config interface of the router and after following the setup instruction (VCI=1, VPI=32, pppoE), the router tries to reach internet, but there is no way.
My colleague, also with an O2 connection, checked yesterday my router and he can connect to internet without any problems.
Any help would be really appreciated.

or take a look at "mein o2" if it possible to order a router there maybe at option like "Weitere Optionen" or something else.

ok, it seems that the technican has put your connection at the wrong landline, for this only the o2 technical hotline 0800-5251378 (for free) may help you by order a new technican.
Please remeber that you must understand german because of the computer voice menu or you get help by a german speaking friend.

Please make sure your device is an Annex B device - for Germany. The model name should be "TD-W8970[color=#ff0000]B[/color]"

unfortunately there is no such a thing as "Annex B" on the config menu for the router. There is Annex A, A/L, but not B. My router is TP-Link W8970, not the one you suggest.

Was the test with your colleague in Germany? Perhaps your device supports Annex-J, but not Annex-B.

My colleague has the same contract, and therefore I guess, the same line as I should have. In my colleague's place (in Saarbrücken) the router works, in my place it doesn't.
In my opinion, there should be something wrong with my line and not with the router. Otherwise, the router wouldn't have worked in my friend's place neither.

Can you please name the last part of your O2 DSL internet user name? Is it @s92.bbi-o2.de or @s93.bbi-o2.de?

Your connection is realized via VDSL2. Therefore, you need a device capable of VDSL2. The TP-Link W8790 does not support VDSL/VDSL2. There is nothing wrong with your connection, but with the device you have bought.

If you want to stick with TP-Link, check for support of VDSL vectoring.
