I have a unique situation here, so I’ll try to explain, I’ve a prepaid o2 sim lets say 176********, my friends wants to take over this number and i’m willing to transfer the ownership, he already has a prepaid contract with o2 with a number lets say 175******** now he wants to take my number and has his already existing prepaid contract transfered from his old number to new number, shortly after taking the owneship he wants to port the number 176********* to his postpaid contract.

You have the possibility to transfer the phone number of the prepaid contract directly to the postpaid contract, this is no problem at all. You can request the number porting in Mein o2. Please make sure that you enter the correct names so that everything is ported correctly. After porting the number from the prepaid contract, the remaining credit will be transferred to the postpaid contract and the prepaid SIM card will be deactivated. If a credit transfer is not desired, it would make sense to cancel the prepaid contract beforehand and have the credit paid out.

Thank you so much for the detailed answer but just one thing, the prepaid sim is under my name and the postpaid sim is under my friends name, will there be any problem or extra step in this case?#
@iam_abdul The prepaid owner should install the my o2 app and release the phone number (Rufnummermitnahme) there. (referred to as opt-in) After this the postpaid owner can start the porting process.
