O2 unlimited max bad internet speed 5G

Hello,
I have postpaid O2 unlimited max sim card and it works fine but I have a very bad internet speed when usually use it.
Idk the reason, the only time that gave me good internet speed  is after 12 AM which is not the best time to use internet.

Could you please help me

This account is my main account in the O2 app

My address is in xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

and that’s a parralell street for more information

Blumengarten str, 38304 Wolfenbüttel

I did  ticket before by call and they did say after 1 week we did all tests and there is no problem

so I just want to know if there is no solution for my case so I can figure a new way.

Hello @ZozIsBack,

I had a look at the address you provided.

Generally you are in an area that has a good coverage, there are no known issues, and the overall usage is not too high to cause too many issues.

What I assume is tha case that you are quite far away from the antennas. The coverage that you recieve is mostly with lower frequencies that are ideal to cover big areas but not that perfect for high speeds. Also it is a shared medium so the more users in your area are using mobile phones the lower the speed you will reach. :-/

Getting higher speeds would require the usage of higher frequencies that reach not so far, so new antennas would need to be build.

Unfortunately for the forseeable future no new stations are planned.

Regards,
Lars

Hello @ZozIsBack ,
welcome to our o2 community 😀
When did the problem with the internet speed start ?
How is it when you are in a different location ?
What did you use to measure the values ?
Have you ever switched your mobile phone completely off and on again ?
Kind regards,
Solveig

Actually this problem started when I moved to this new place  since 4 month.

when Im oon different city  speed varry but my  main concern that  my current place the speed currently is good after 12 am  but in the normal daz is less than 30  and sometimes less than 20 Mb as in the table of speed .

I measure using the common tool online Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test

but I export it as csv table.

Yes I did restart trying to move to LTE only , 5G only, auto

I also did try another sim card on the same mobile my working sim card and the speed on the other provider was   more than 100Mb around  1 pm which is usually  not good speed with o2.

I just want to find solution for this because I tried O2 and I like it and don’t want to  change because I find the customer service people are very nice.

Hey @ZozIsBack,

It's a pity that this has been the case since you moved. Mobile telephony is a shared medium so fluctuations are common in different places at different times and also depending on how the location is developed.

I can see that in that location 5G is not as well developed as LTE. You said:

Yes I did restart trying to move to LTE only , 5G only, auto

Setting only LTE in your cell phone and turning off 5G has not shown any improvement?

 @o2_Lea  @o2_Solveig

changing to 5g has no difference as I tried just the difference that at 12 am the speed start to be good till morning and start to be  less than 30  and sometimes 20 Mb
