Number portability from O2 to other network

Hi,

I moved my sim to another network(WinSim) but am unsure if my number is ported.
Can someone check and confirm it for me? XXXXXXXX

I am asking this question because I can still see O2 DE text on the top of my iPhone Setting → Mobile Data section. and in the meantime, I do not receive TAN SMS from some of the applications while I am trying to sign in to them.

Hakim,

Hello @H.Karimi888,

welcome to our o2 Community 🙂

Please contact your new provider regarding porting your phone number. They can provide you with information on this, as they must have applied to us for porting your phone number.

If you are currently still using your o2 SIM card, you will of course also see our logo. Haven't you received a new SIM card from WinSim yet?

Best regards

Giulia

Hi Giulia,

I did receive a SIM card from WinSim but I am not using my O2 SIM card. That is what made me confused that why I still see O2-DE on my phone!

I am asking this question because I do not receive some SMS on my number and I think that the porting was not done properly.

Please see the photo attached for the O2-DE text on my phone. Also when I click on the blue text “Network Provider Services” it takes me to the O2 home page, not the WimSim. So I was wondering if you can check whether my SIM card is released from your side properly or not.

Thanks,
Hakim

Hello @H.Karimi888,

the reason you still see “o2-de” on your mobile phone is that WinSIM uses the o2 mobile network. Since WinSIM does not use an own network it is possible that the iPhone uses the network settings that it already has for this mobile network, i.e. our settings.

I am not sure if WinSim provides adapted network settings for iPhones, maybe their support has more information on that?

Regards,

Lars
