No Response from O2 channel yet after sending my request to port my number to O2

Hi,

My name is Koushik.

I wanted to port my prepaid Lebara number to O2, and I already got approval from Lebara stating that my number starting in 01514 and ending in 98 has been released for porting.

Yesterday, I contacted the o2 team to do a transfer via the link: Order number porting to o2, and I selected for an immediate transfer.

It has been more than 24 hours, and I have neither received any email confirmation nor any response from the O2 team.

Is there any way to get current updates regarding my request? How long do I need to wait to get an update?

Best,

Koushik

Hello @cadmonkey ,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

Thank you for your patience, how are things looking with your phone number, have you received any info concerning the number being ported over yet or has no follow up happened yet?

Kind regards, Sven

Hi @o2_Sven,

Apparently, creating a request via the online form did not work as per the agent I talked to when I called the O2 Hotline. However, she helped me make a Port-In request, and now I finally got the finalized date for the switch.

Can you please confirm one thing on my behalf since I forgot to ask it that time? Since the current number in my O2 account is 0176-3xxx3004, it will be replaced by the Port-In number 0151-45xxx498. Is my assumption correct? or will the Port-In number be on another account?

Hello @cadmonkey ,

the 3004 is a temporary number that your contract uses until the porting is done, at that point it gets replaced by the 498 number that you are bringing over from Lebara.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask away.

Hi @o2_Sven

Understood :)

The scheduled date for the planned number port-in is 14th of this month. I will let you know when I have an update and if I need any assistance.

Hello @cadmonkey ,

hopefully everything goes smoothly and then we hope to hear about that on the 14th from you.
