Incorrect billing

I had ordered a tarrif of 9.99 smartphone pack for my phone number in O2.

The portal showed that the pack to be activated, but the pack did not get activated. So when I made calls in an emergency situation all the money was deducted. Again I had to recharge for 10 euros to sort out the issue, again the same issue happened.

Now i have 3.27 euros left in my account which is unfair. Ideally the pack should have been activated and all calls should have been free from then.

Please refund my money back to my account.

I have been a o2 member for long time and previously also due to incorrect billng when reported , O2 checked and refunded my money back. Expecting the same.

I got an email that says that my current bill is 76.94 euros this month because I used extra services last month and I didn’t use anything and I didn’t add any extra service from my application???? I don’t have these money to pay them now

Dear O2 Customer Service,

I recently received an invoice dated 02.04.2025, stating a total charge of 76,94 EUR for the billing period 28.02.2025 – 27.03.2025. However, I was shocked to see an additional amount of 59,45 EUR listed under “Verbindungen & Services – Datennutzung außerhalb der EU.”

I would like to clarify that I have not used any extra services, nor have I used my SIM card outside the EU. I kindly request a detailed explanation of these charges, as I am not aware of any such usage.

Additionally, I am currently not in a financial position to pay this amount, especially for services I did not knowingly use. I therefore ask you to review this invoice, block any unintended services, and reverse the charges if found to be incorrect. So please stop the amount from debiting my account.

Please confirm receipt of this message and advise on the next steps to resolve this issue.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Kenzy Elshemy

Were you in a non-EU country? You can't make payment arrangements there. Please contact the dunning chat.

Hello @kenzyelshemy,
if the bill turns out to be higher than planned, it's a shock at first, I understand that. You can find the detailed information on the billed connections in your itemised bill. Were you travelling abroad? Were you travelling in a country outside the EU?
Kind regards, Bianca

Hello Bianca,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I was travelling to Egypt, but I didn’t knowingly use any data or services outside the EU. As soon as I arrived, something must have connected automatically without my knowledge or consent — I didn’t open anything or use the internet intentionally.

I kindly ask you to block this charge before the money is debited from my account on April 9th, because I am currently not able to afford this unexpected cost. I was not aware that my phone would connect and start using data abroad automatically.

Please help me resolve this issue and reverse the charge.

Best regards,
Kenzy Elshemy

As I wrote, you can't do that here, use the link I posted above.

Hello @kenzyelshemy
if you were in Egypt and did not explicitly block your mobile data, it is possible that your cell phone connected
to the mobile network and used data volume for updates of individual APPS, for example.
We cannot see here what exactly the data volume was used for.
If you want to dispute the invoice, please use the link from Bumer or contact us in writing.
You can upload a letter via our contact form.
Kind regards,
