Hi

I signed a contract for iPhone and unlimited internet and in my contract, I requested that to keep my current number, I received the device and a sim card, when I activated it I realize they sent me a new number.
my question is can I port my number and cancel the new number or not?

Thank you

Hi @aripey .

there is a number transfer coming up, which has been planned the day after the activation of the SIM.

Number imports do need a base or target, this is why we often activate the SIM with a different number.

If the number transfer is not completed by tomorrow noon, please let us know here.

Best regards,
Kurt

Hi @o2_Kurt

Thank you for your reply, I applied for Portierungserklärung to Vodafone and they accepted my request and they sent me a msg and gave me 30 days for porting my number, but today I received an email from O2 and they said I have to do Portierungserklärung (which I already did and Vodafone accepted it).

now, what should I do? I need to transfer my number from Vodafone to O2 as soon as possible so I can use my phone and my contract. could you please help me

thank you for your time and effort.

Best regards

Hosseini

I have another question, right now I am checking O2 website and they have iPhone pro max Ohne O2 Tarif also, is there any chance to change my contract to Ohne O2 Tarif with same device?

Hello @aripey,

in this case, Vodafone is your contact. Apparently something went wrong with the porting declaration or with the porting itself.
Was it possible that the 30 days in which the number was released had already passed?

Important: when porting, all data of the contract holder must match. That means: name, address, date of birth. Otherwise the porting process may be cancelled.

To your other question:
Without a tariff means that you buy a device without a tariff. That is, without the combination. This also means that you don't get any additional benefits. If you buy the device and the tariff together, your tariff will be cheaper. So changing the contract to "without contract" and keeping the same device doesn't make sense, because you wouldn't have a contract anymore.

But maybe I just didn't understand your question correctly. Could you explain a little more what you mean exactly?

Kind regards
Jessica :nerd:

hello @o2_Jessica

I received an email from Vodafone on Monday the 13th of December and from this date, I have 30 days.
and yesterday I received an email from O2 and they gave me the date for porting, which is on the 24th of December.
so it means everything is okay?
I don't want to cancel my contract but can I use the o2 number as an eSim and my old number as a physical sim (of course if I couldn't port my old number)? is it possible?

Hello @aripey,

yes, everything is okay. :relaxed:

Your number will be ported on 22nd of december. Until then you can use your temporary o2 phone number with your eSIM and your old number as a physical sim if you got from from Vodafone.

Best regards,

Michi
